Workshop

The Book Publication Workshop is organized as part of the IET-2027 and designed to guide researchers and academics in developing high-quality scholarly book chapters and edited volumes for publication in the Springer book series Islam and Emerging Technologies (IET). The workshop will provide practical guidance on identifying suitable topics, developing chapter proposals, structuring manuscripts, strengthening interdisciplinary contributions, and meeting academic and publishing standards.

The workshop particularly encourages research that connects Islamic scholarship with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, fintech, digital education, sustainability, governance, Islamic finance, halal studies, Islamic law, ethics, and digital transformation. These areas align closely with the scope of the Islam and Emerging Technologies series, which promotes multidisciplinary research connecting Islamic disciplines with contemporary technological developments.

Participants will receive guidance on preparing their work for consideration for Springer book publication, with selected high-quality contributions potentially developed into chapters for an edited volume or related book project under the Islam and Emerging Technologies series. Publication is subject to Springer’s editorial evaluation, proposal assessment, peer-review and publication procedures; participation in the workshop does not itself guarantee publication.
